St. John's Wort, Time-Release [Nervous] is known for its benefits to the nervous system, specifically for help with mild to moderate depression. Time-Release St. John's Wort contains the finest raw St. John's wort herb, standardized to contain 3.0% hyperforin and 0.2% hypericin in a base of 450 mg St. John's wort extract powder. St. John's wort contains at least 10 pharmacologically active constituents. Numerous studies show that one of these, hypericin, appears to act similar to MAO inhibitors and serotonin-reuptake inhibitors, which elevate mood and act as a mild sedative.
